Bio

Simply being in nature has thrilled me to my core, from childhood to the present.  Nature photography has provided me with the opportunity to share a few of the special moments and locations I experienced over the years I have spent hiking and camping my way around the US and Canada.  Years of chasing the light, seeking the sublime, and experiencing moments that caused my soul to sing.

My newest work combines photographs and textures to create a painterly look more accurately expressing what I experienced when I made the original photograph. I think of the camera, photo editing software, and printing media as simply tools for making art – just as a painter uses brushes, paint, and canvas.
 

Over the years my work has been published numerous times, is on display in health care facilities, and sold in numerous art fairs.
